Let’s Explore and Learn About Ultraman Gaia

Unlike most Ultramen who originate from outside Earth, Ultraman Gaia is born from Earth itself and is even considered the embodiment of the planet. Gamu Takayama first encountered Gaia while testing a device capable of exploring other Earth dimensions. Gaia recognized Gamu’s potential and chose him as his partner.

To further support the idea that Ultraman Gaia originates from Earth, the name “Gaia” comes from Greek and means “Earth.” In Greek mythology, Gaia is also known as the goddess who personifies the Earth.

Unlike most Ultramen who can only remain active for about three minutes due to Earth’s atmosphere, Ultraman Gaia is not bound by that limitation because he originates from Earth. His Color Timer only begins to blink when he has taken significant damage.

At first, Ultraman Gaia and Ultraman Agul were enemies due to their differing views. Gaia believed that both Earth and humanity should be protected from danger, while Agul wanted to protect Earth by destroying humans, seeing them as the cause of its destruction. However, in the end, Agul became Gaia’s ally in protecting both humanity and the planet.

Most of Ultraman Gaia’s transformations are derived from the power of Ultraman Agul. Gaia’s V2 and Supreme Version forms were obtained from Agul V1. Meanwhile, Gaia’s latest transformation, the Super Supreme Version, is a fusion of the powers of Gaia Supreme Version and Agul Supreme Version.
